5-year-old boy dies after he’s found foaming at the mouth in ‘filthy’ NYC apartment: sources
A 5-year-old boy died after he was found foaming at the mouth inside a “filthy” Bronx home early Sunday a stone’s throw from a hospital, police and sources said.
Little Deneil Timberlake was found unconscious about 3:30 a.m. inside 2254 Bassford Ave., a walk-up apartment building near East 183rd Street in Belmont, authorities said.
The child’s father told police he put the child to bed at around 10 p.m. and woke up overnight to find the child unresponsive, according to sources. There were no signs of trauma, the sources added.
Medics rushed Timberlake two blocks over to St. Barnabas Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, police said.
The boy’s cause of death is under investigation by the city’s medical examiner.
The family had a history from the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, according to PIX11.
