Kamala Harris mocked over sudden ‘Southern accent’ at Atlanta rally
Well, bless her heart!
Vice President Kamala Harris is being mocked online for seemingly dipping into a Southern drawl at her Tuesday night rally in Atlanta.
Footage from the star-studded event spread online as many picked up on the presumptive Democratic candidate’s accent as she jubilantly told the crowd, “You all helped us win in 2020, and we’re gonna do it again in 2024!”
“Kamala seems to have developed Sudden Onset Urban Accent,” Daily Wire host Matt Walsh joked while sharing the clip with his nearly 3 million followers on X.
“Kamala Harris with the accent, Hee Haw,” one meme account said alongside the edited clip featuring Harris wearing a cartoon cowboy hat.
Another commenter declared the moment “cringe.”
Others recalled when Harris, 59, created a minor scandal when she appeared to affect a French accent during a visit to the Pasteur Institute in Paris in November 2021.
The Harris camp is reportedly gearing up to unveil the VP’s own veep pick at a Philadelphia rally next week.
Harris and her second-in-command will then campaign across seven swing states in just four days.
