Marion Jones runs through her Olympics legacy as a new star emerges in Paris

Katie Ledecky may finish the Olympics as the most decorated female swimmer of all time. Simone Biles will return home with more evidence to her claim as the greatest gymnast who has ever lived.

Sha’Carri Richardson could leave Paris with the grandest title of all — the fastest woman in the world.

Richardson, 24, will make her Olympic debut Friday, competing in the preliminary round of the women’s 100 meters. The final will be held on Saturday.

Richardson, who captured gold in the event at the 2023 World Championships, infamously missed the Tokyo Games due to a positive marijuana test, coming days after she won the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2021.
