Heather Graham would ‘absolutely love’ to be a Bond girl and ‘do more action’

Heather Graham left us shaken and stirred.

The actress has revealed in an exclusive interview with The Post that she’s ready to graduate from Felicity Shagwell to a Bond gal.

Graham, who stars in the new movie “Place of Bones,” out today, Friday, August 23, expressed enthusiasm to step into the 007 franchise when asked about fan sites suggesting the blonde bombshell would be a perfect Bond girl.

“Yeah, I would love to do that,” she said. “I mean, I would absolutely love to do that.”

“I just got cast in this movie called ‘They Will Kill You,’ and it’s a scary movie, but I get — I have fight scenes with [‘Joke’ and ‘Deadpool 2’ star] Zazie Beetz,” she revealed. “There’s a lot of action. So yeah, I would love to do a movie where I got to do more action.”

“I don’t want to spoiler alert that movie either,” she said of the film, which will also stars Patricia Arquette and Tom Felton. “But there’s a lot of action in it. I’ll say that.”

Graham famously played CIA agent Felicity Shagwell in the 1999 James Bond spoof, “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” a role she is still known and beloved for to this day. While she’s worked in several different genres, action has undoubtedly kept her excited these days.

Making a foray into more action-packed movies was a reason why Graham signed on to her current film, “Place of Bones” — a horror/Western about a mother (Graham) and her daughter living on a remote ranch who fight for survival when a wounded outlaw seeking refuge brings a notorious bank robber and his ruthless gang, all desperate to reclaim a stolen fortune, right to their doorstep.

“I have wanted to do some more action-type stuff where you get to fight,” the actress said of her decision to play a gunslinging frontierswoman, whom she describes as “fierce” and “super intelligent” but also as someone with “a lot of flaws.”

She’s not a “total hero,” Graham explained.

“I mean, she’s got a lot of bitterness. She’s got a lot of anger. She’s got a lot of, you know, negative attitudes about the outside world and wanting to protect her daughter. So I like that she’s complicated. And not just, ‘Oh, she’s this perfect woman.’ I think she’s very screwed up but also amazing.”

“I feel like Westerns aren’t usually told about a female character,” she added. “And it was really something I’ve been really wanting to do.”

“I wanted to play just a badass role, somebody who could just, you know, fight — fight the bad guys and just outsmart other people. I thought it was such a fun opportunity.”

In addition to Graham, “Place of Bones,” directed by Audrey Cummings and written by Richard Taylor, stars Tom Hopper, Corin Nemec, Brielle Robillard and Cowboy Cerrone.

The movie hits select theaters and is available via digital on Friday.
