The last time the Jets and 49ers met, it was Sept. 20, 2020. Four years does not seem like that long ago … until you actually look at this game.
I sat down and watched that Week 2 game this week, and there were plenty of things to take away from San Francisco’s 31-13 win at MetLife Stadium.
First, it was a reminder of what life in 2020 was like with no fans in the stands, fake crowd noise pumped into the broadcast and coaches and staff members wearing masks on the sideline.
But from a football perspective, it was jarring how far the Jets roster has progressed since then.
