The Bo Nix era begins now.
Ahead of the 2024 regular season, head coach Sean Payton and the team named the rookie quarterback one of the Denver Broncos‘ six captains along with Quinn Meinerz, Courtland Sutton, Alex Singleton, Wil Lutz and Pat Surtain II.
“It’s an honor, it’s a privilege,” Nix told reporters. “I don’t take it lightly. I know it’s a big deal and it hasn’t happened often, but I’m not going to take it for granted.”
Now, the 24-year-old will have to prove it on the field in the club’s season opener where they’ll take on the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday, Sept. 8.
Following that contest, the Orange Crush return to Denver for a huge home game against the Steelers on Sept. 15 at Empower Field at Mile High.
After that, the Broncos have a number of high-profile matchups on their turf including face-offs with the Raiders (Oct. 6), Falcons (Nov. 17), Browns (Dec. 2) and the 2024 Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (TBD).
And, if you want to be there to there to see the team duke it out live, tickets are available for all eight home games at Empower Field at Mile High.
