Meghan Markle is a ‘dictator’ who ‘terrifies’ staff, has ‘reduced grown men to tears,’ bombshell Hollywood Reporter exposé claims
Meghan Markle appears to be in royally hot water.
A bombshell new report alleges that the Duchess of Sussex, 43, terrifies her staff, with one source describing her as a “dictator in high heels” who has reduced “grown men to tears.”
The embarrassing exposé was published by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, and is likely to rattle Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, who is celebrating his 40th birthday this weekend.
“Everyone’s terrified of Meghan,” a source close to the couple alleged in the article, which examined high-turnover among the Sussex’s staff.
“She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”
“She’s absolutely relentless,” another insider told the outlet. “She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
Markle and Harry have had high staff turnover throughout the years. Markle’s top aide and private secretary departed in 2021, and last month, the couple’s chief of staff resigned after just three months on the job.
But the “Archetypes” podcast host is no stranger to being criticized for her behavior toward her employees. In 2018, Buckingham Palace investigated Markle for her treatment of two royal aides, which was labeled as “bullying behavior.”
The Palace never released their findings, but Markle called the claims a “calculated smear campaign.”
The report comes on the heels of a prominent royal expert claiming that the former actress is regretful over the way her dramatic exit from the royal family went down four years ago.
Markle closed the door on royal life in 2020 alongside Prince Harry, with the pair’s move to Montecito, California prompting a major ongoing rift — especially with Prince William, and his wife, Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
“Meghan does regret certain statements that she made,” royal expert and commentator Kinsey Schofield told Fox News. “They weren’t received in the way that she had expected and several of her comments have backfired.”
“She and Prince Harry deeply regret the royal racist controversy. Meghan wanted the takeaway from their Oprah interview to be about her mental health,” Schofield continued. “And I think Meghan regretted sitting down with the Cut because she provided endless commentary for her critics.”
The new article from The Hollywood Reporter — one of the entertainment world’s most respected publications — could put a dampener on the Duke of Sussex’s 40th birthday this weekend.
Harry will mark the milestone on Sunday, and is expected to receive a massive $8.5 million cash windfall, thanks to arrangements made by his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The late monarch put $90 million into a trust fund for her family and listed that Harry was to access his share of the trust when he turned 40 as one of the fund’s stipulations.
