Megyn Kelly slams ‘thin Ozempic’ Oprah Winfrey over Kamala Harris town hall: ‘I miss fat Oprah’
Megyn Kelly panned “out of touch billionaire” Oprah Winfrey’s “ridiculous” town hall that she hosted for Vice President Kamala Harris, saying that “thin Ozempic” Oprah had become “elitist” and that she was no longer “genuine.”
“I miss fat Oprah. She was just genuine,” Kelly said on Friday’s episode of the SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show.”
“Now this thin Ozempic Oprah has lost — along with the pounds, her heart — her sense of authenticity,” Kelly said.
Winfrey emceed a town hall in the key battleground state of Michigan.
The event was billed as the “Unite for America Rally,” an official Harris campaign town hall on Thursday evening which was streamed live on the internet.
The event was attended virtually by high-powered celebrities including Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock and Jennifer Lopez. Winfrey also interviewed Harris in a format similar to her own long-running daytime television show.
Kelly, however, was not impressed.
“I used to love Oprah, like most of us who grew up when we did,” the former Fox News prime time star said.
“And only now did I realize I’ve been getting spoon-fed propaganda from this woman for years.”
Kelly said the Oprah-hosted town hall was a “debacle” and “the ultimate culmination of her journalistic fails.”
While interviewing “the potential next president of the United States,” Winfrey failed “not only…[to] ask her hard questions” but she instead used the format “to rehab and repackag[e]” Harris.
Kelly said that Winfrey should have pressed Harris about her policies on guns as well as the border crisis.
Harris made news during the event when she told Winfrey that “if somebody breaks into my house, they’re getting shot, sorry.”
“Probably should not have said that,” Harris said as the audience laughed. “But my staff will deal with that later.”
Kelly blasted Winfrey for not following up with Harris by asking her about her support for mandatory gun buybacks.

“You can craft that question in a number of ways, but it must be crafted if you’re an honest broker,” Kelly said.
“She’s not,” she added in reference to Winfrey.
Kelly said that Winfrey’s wealth has made her a “cleansed, elite, billionaire” who hasn’t “spent time hanging out with a working class person” in this country.
Kelly also took Winfrey to task for “the yelling” that she did during the event.
“I was like, what’s she doing? This feels affected, forced, and it’s making me uncomfortable,” Kelly said of Winfrey.
