Two of the NFL’s best teams are going head-to-head in the Motor City.
On Monday, Sept. 30, Dan Campbell’s 2-1 Detroit Lions are taking on Mike Macdonald’s 3-0 Seattle Seahawks at Ford Field.
Coming into this high-stakes week four showdown, the home team is celebrating a close 20-13 victory over the surprisingly competitive Arizona Cardinals. In that contest, Jared Goff led the way completing 18 of 23 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown; David Montgomery rushed for 105 yards and a TD.
“You guys came to work,” Campbell said to the team after the game. “It was the best game we’ve had… this was one of those gritty, like unglorious type of games you need to play.”
As for their opponents, Geno Smith and the Seahawks cruised to a 24-3 win against the Miami Dolphins. Zach Charbonnet and DK Metcalf provided the bulk of the offense for the squad, notching three touchdowns between them.
Now that the Lions and Seahawks are facing tougher opponents in each other, Jared Goff and co. will need all the help they can muster from the fans at Ford Field on Monday.
