I’m a homeless ex-Playboy model — I lived with Hugh Hefner, now I’m sleeping in a tent
She went from Hefner to homeless.
A former model who lived at the infamous Playboy Mansion and partied with the world’s biggest celebrities is now living in a tent.
Louise Glover, 41, was crowned Playboy’s “Model of the Year” back in 2006 and briefly lived rent-free at Hugh Hefner’s lavish Los Angeles estate.
But the British beauty’s fortunes took a turn in 2010 when she suffered a cardiac arrest following breast implant surgery and spent five weeks in the hospital.
Glover is now living in an $80 tent on a farm in rural Reading, England and is fearful for her future as cold weather quickly approaches.
“I don’t have family to fall back on,” the ex-model — who was raised in and out of foster homes — told The Sun in an emotional new interview.
“I am trying to stay upbeat and make the most of my situation, but it is difficult,” she admitted. “I need to get myself out of this pickle soon. Things have to change before winter hits.”
Glover first began modeling at age 20, and quickly garnered international attention.
The bombshell was dubbed the “British Carmen Electra” and was whisked to the United States where she posed for Playboy.
“It was the best time, like another world,” the beauty recalled. “I didn’t even think about it that much at the time, but I was hanging out with the biggest names in the world.”
She attended parties with stars including Leonard DiCaprio, Matthew Perry and Paris Hilton.
Soon, Glover was staying at Hefner’s $100 million Playboy Mansion, where other A-listers would regularly drop by.
“We had these wild parties,” she stated. “I once got my body painted and we all danced around Snoop Dogg as he performed on stage at the house.”
Glover told The Sun that Hefner always treated her kindly and that she relished her days at the infamous mansion, saying: “I loved all the other Playboy models, we were like a family. I really liked Hugh, he was a total gentleman.”
After recovering from her heart attack in 2010, Glover decided to pivot to personal training.
“That was a wake-up call for me,” she said of her five-week stint in the hospital.
The beauty contracted septicemia after her implant surgery, causing cardiac arrest.
“I started to train and moved into fitness and lifestyle modeling,” Glover stated. “I had deals with most of the major brands. Nike sponsored me and I felt like I was on the up again.”
But with her personal training work drying up amid the UK’s cost-of-living crisis, the Brit found herself struggling to make ends meet.
“It is hard now I am older, the modeling work isn’t there,” she explained. “I’d love to do presenting and I still do bits of promo work, but I refuse to do anything pornographic.”
Glover says she has “too much self-respect” to work as a stripper or start an X-rated OnlyFans.
Instead, the blonde is trying to recruit new clients for personal training and attempting to build a dog-walking business.
In addition to her tent, Glover has a small stove for cooking, two hot water bottles for warmth and an unshakable sense of optimism in spite of her hardships.
“In some ways, I feel calmer now I am here — because I have less to worry about,” she stated. “There have been really special moments. I sat watching the shooting stars the other night, wrapped up in my sleeping bag.”
“My luck will change soon.”
