The ugly season seems to be getting to the Panthers, who ended up in a fight late in the fourth quarter of their loss to the Chicago Bears, which resulted in two players getting ejected.Â
The heated moment broke out after Bears running back Roschon Johnson scored a touchdown with 4:23 left in the game to extend the Chicago lead to 36-10.
Bears offensive lineman Matt Pryor and Panthers corner Jaycee Horn end up being kicked out due to the fracas.
While the Bears had been celebrating the touchdown, Horn shoved offensive lineman Bill Murray, which led to more pushing and shoving from other players on both sides.Â
Replay revealed that Pryor took a swing at Horn before two Panthers players knocked Pryor to the ground.
D.J. Johnson of the Panthers was one of the players who shoved Pryor and was assessed a 15-yard penalty for the decision.
It was an ugly game all around for Carolina, which dropped to 1-4 on the season and have seen any positive vibes briefly permeating around the team from its win over the Raiders on Sept. 22 completely dissipate.Â
The Panthers were limited to just 172 total passing yards, and veteran quarterback Andy Dalton was 18-for-28 for 136 yards in the air.Â
Carolina also had a scary situation in which tight end Tommy Tremble appeared to get knocked out after colliding with Bears defensive back Jaquan Brisker.
Brisker and Tremble went into one another hard, and the ball popped loose, allowing the Bears to recover.Â
Tremble was later ruled out of the rest of the game with a concussion.
