Are you ready, kids?
Wendy’s is releasing a special “Krabby Patty Kollab” meal for a limited time — in honor of the 25th anniversary of the “SpongeBob SquarePants” TV show.
The meal includes a “Krabby Patty Kollab” cheeseburger, a “Pineapple Under the Sea” Frosty and french fries.
The special cheeseburger — named after the fictional burger concocted by SpongeBob in the show — is served with an additional slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and a “top-secret” Krabby Kollab sauce on a toasted bun.
The new Frosty option — inspired by Spongebob’s fruity home — is made with vanilla and a swirl of pineapple-and-mango-flavored puree.
The fast-food chain will offer the meals in stores and on the app in the US and Canada beginning Oct. 8.
“SpongeBob SquarePants” premiered on Nickelodeon on May 1, 1999, with the pilot episode “Help Wanted,” showing the “absorbent and yellow and porous” creature beginning his career as a cook at the Krusty Krab, excitedly serving up Krabby Patties.
News of the “Krabby Patty Kollab” wasn’t kept well under wraps — don’t let Plankton know!
Word spread earlier this summer when what appeared to be a leaked Wendy’s memo from Aug. 16 was posted on Reddit.
The note teased the above-sea-level meal will only be available until Nov. 11.
Tom Kenny, the actor who voices SpongeBob SquarePants, made headlines this summer after revealing that the beloved animated character is autistic.
“Of course he is,” Kenny, 62, reportedly told a fan — calling SpongeBob being on the spectrum his “superpower.”
The children’s cartoon is in its 14th season on Nickelodeon. It was renewed for Season 15 last year.
