There’s nothing mini about this matchup in Minny.
On Sunday, Oct. 20, Sam Darnold’s 5-0 Minnesota Vikings will protect their undefeated record at their home U.S. Bank Stadium against Jared Goff’s red-hot 4-1 Detroit Lions.
The matchup is the first this season between the NFC North rivals; the last time they met was Jan. 7, 2024. The Lions won that contest by a score of 30-20.
This time around, the Vikings are coming off a bye week after a win over the Jets in London. No word quite yet on whether or not star running back Aaron Jones, who is week-to-week, gets some action.
As for the Lions, they’re currently riding an impressive three-game win streak; most recently, they took down the Cowboys 47-9.
“This is the tightest this group has been,” head coach Dan Campbell said in a press conference after the game. “We found somethin’ special last year, men. I felt it going into this game.”
Will the Vikings continue their winning ways? Do the Lions — who are the tightest they’ve been — have what it takes to notch their fourth consecutive victory?
All we know is that the best way to find out is to see it live.
