James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, and Robert Trujillo can’t stop.
A little over a month ago, Metallica announced 2025 ‘M72 Tour’ dates, which means they will be taking their show on the road for a third (!) consecutive year.
This time around, the Rock Hall of Famers have scheduled six “no repeat weekends,” which means Thursday and Saturday or Friday and Sunday shows with different set lists and opening acts.
The closest “no repeat weekend” to New York will take place at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, May 23 with Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills. On Sunday, May 25, the show features openers Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies.
In August 2023, the New York Post’s resident metalhead Ryan Murphy attended a pair of ‘M72’ concerts at MetLife Stadium and said, “Metallica played everything you’d want to hear with no repeats over the two nights.”
“Even though they’re promoting their new record,” he continued, “they played all the fan favorites.”
There will also be six “one night only” concerts on the 2025 run in addition to the two-night stints.
One of those “one night only” gigs is slated to go down at Syracuse’s JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, April 19. Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies serve as the special guest that evening.
According to Consequence, “these one-off concerts promise the tour’s full production and massive in-the-round stage setup.”
If you want to catch Metallica live in 2025, tickets are available for all shows.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for any one concert was $52 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Better yet, we found that most two-day passes go for roughly the same amount as single-day passes.
Two days of Metallica for the price of one?
Now that’s a hack.
To find the show — or shows if you want to attend both halves of a “no repeat weekend” — that makes the most sense for you, our team has everything you need to know and more about Metallica’s 2025 ‘M72 Tour’ below.
All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.
