Channing Tatum shares first photo since Zoe Kravitz split news: ‘Just broke out of prison’

Blink twice and you might miss it.

Channing Tatum shared a Polaroid-style photo to Instagram of himself sitting in front of a logo for the children’s retail store Toys ‘R’ Us, his first social media activity since news broke of his split from Zoe Kravitz.

The actor, 44, implied the shot and setup was part of a shoot for his upcoming movie “Roofman.”

“Just broke out of prison and into a Toys R Us… how was your day. Hehe #ROOFMAN dirty and tired but still a Toys R Us kid,” Tatum captioned the post Wednesday.

The drama, which also stars Kirsten Dunst and Peter Dinklage, is based on the true story of a former Army Ranger and struggling father (Tatum) who robs McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, garnering him the nickname “Roofman.”

After he escapes from prison, he begins a new life and while hiding in a toy store, falls in love with a single mother (Dunst) and her two daughters. However, his past and a new robbery threaten to destroy his second chance.

Tatum teases his new movie in his Instagram caption.

One day before his post, news broke that Tatum and Kravitz, 35, have broken up after three years together.

The couple called it quits a little over a year after they got engaged, several sources confirmed to People on Tuesday.

As for the reason behind the split, a source told the outlet, “They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart.”

Tatum and the actress, 35, started dating while working on her directorial debut, “Blink Twice.”

“Art is our love language,” the “Big Little Lies” star told People at the film’s August premiere. “I think it’s what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other.”

Tatum also took a moment to gush over their bond.

“This is what I’ll say about creating with someone that you are with or love: I suggest it,” he told the outlet in July. “If you are thinking about having a kid or if you’re thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner.”

Tatum added, “When you can look across the room or the set and know that you have the best person that is next to you trying to solve problems, and you’re really looking to them for answers just as equally as trying to solve them yourself, that is unbelievable.”

Tatum and Kravitz will reunite onscreen, however, post-split.

On Tuesday, Deadline reported that they joined the cast of the alien invasion comedy “Alpha Gang,” starring and produced by Cate Blanchett.
