Bucks’ Bobby Portis says home was burglarized: ‘Prized possessions’ stolen

Milwaukee Bucks big man Bobby Portis says “prized possesions” were taken from his home during a robbery.

The perennial Sixth Man of the Year contender took to social media to let people know that his home was burglarized on Saturday evening.

“I consider Milwaukee my home,” he wrote. “Last night, while I was at work, my home was burglarized, and many of my prized possessions were stolen. If you have any tips or info, please send them to [email protected]. Rewards for info leading to recovery or arrests!”

The post included a video of Portis talking about the incident, as well as surveillance footage from inside his home.

“I’ve worked hard to do good in the Milwaukee community and I hope you all can help do the same by sending any tips regarding this crime to: [email protected]. Any information that directly leads to catching the criminals involved or return of my property will be rewarded,” he said in the video.

Portis seemingly was robbed as his Bucks fell 114-113 to the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Saturday night, a loss that dropped Milwaukee to 1-5 on the young season.

Bobby Portis says his home was burglarized over the weekend.

Portis had 10 points and eight rebounds in the game.

The 6-foot-11 stretch big is averaging 11.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season.

Portis signed with the Bucks in 2020 and was an integral part of the team’s championship run in 2021.

Two unidentified robbers appeared to burglarize Bobby Portis’ home.

He has finished third in Sixth Man of the Year voting in consecutive seasons leading up to this year, and is currently in his fifth season with the Bucks.

Before joining the Bucks, Portis had stints with the Knicks, Washington Wizards, and the Chicago Bulls, who selected him in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft.
