Queens bodega worker slashed by menace asking for freebies: ‘Had a hunting knife like Rambo’
A madman slashed a Queens deli worker Sunday night after the staffer refused to give him any freebies, according to police.
The maniac barged into Nordomi Deli, 145-19 Jamaica Ave., in Jamaica looking for free food and beverages around 7:45 p.m., cops said.
When employees at the bodega refused, the free-loader got into a heated argument with the staff, the NYPD and a store manager said.
The victim asked the man to leave, so the brute went outside and started banging on the deli’s glass windows.
When the employee stepped out to see if there was any damage, the menace allegedly slashed him across his back and fled, police said.
A group of onlookers chased after the knife-wielding wacko, according to surveillance footage from the store, but he escaped and remains at large.
A manager at the store told The Post that the same man had come into the bodega asking for free food or to use the bathroom four or five times prior to Sunday.
The manager, Anthony who declined to give his last name, said he was told the man used a hunting knife.
“He had a hunting knife like Rambo,” he said.
The store worker didn’t sustain any life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
