Big Tech moguls Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai line up to kiss the ring after Trump win
Big Tech moguls Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai were among several high-powered executives to congratulate Donald Trump following his stunning victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bezos — who blocked the Washington Post’s editorial board from endorsing Harris two weeks before the election – was among the first to kiss the ring.
“Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory,” Bezos, the Amazon founder who bought the Washington Post more than a decade ago, wrote on his X social media account.
“No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love.”
Trump has had contentious relationships with CEOs of companies, particularly in tech, where the workforces are largely Democrat supporters.
Zuckerberg – the Meta CEO who booted Trump from Facebook following the Jan. 6 riots, and censored the New York Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election – also praised the president-elect.
“We have great opportunities ahead of us as a country. Looking forward to working with you and your administration,” Zuckerberg wrote on his Threads account on Wednesday.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai, whose company faces a possible breakup of its lucrative search business after losing a landmark antitrust case initiated by the first Trump administration, paid his respects as well.
“We are in a golden age of American innovation and are committed to working with his administration to help bring the benefits to everyone,” the Google boss wrote on his X account.
Apple CEO Tim Cook also chimed in, writing on X: “Congratulations President Trump on your victory!”
“We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.”
The hosannas for Trump extended to the banking world.
“I congratulate President Trump and we look forward to working with the new administration in support of sound policies that enhance economic growth and financial stability,” Goldman Sachs boss David Solomon wrote in a memo to staffers at the investment bank.
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon also congratulated Trump, incoming Vice President JD Vance and other elected representatives, according to a memo to staff on Wednesday seen by Reuters.
Dimon will remain at the bank and has no plans to join the Trump administration despite questions about whether he would take a senior government role after the presidential election, a source told the outlet.
