A sicko accused of strangling a woman outside a Times Square hotel after he randomly picked her out of a crowd was busted Tuesday, according to cops and law enforcement sources.
Motormouth Jaheem Warren, 33, disgustingly spat at a Post photographer and cursed as he was led cuffed onto Manhattan Central Booking after he was arrested in Prospect Park, New Jersey by the US Marshals for the senseless murder.
“Get the f–k out of my way,” he seethed.
The slobbering suspect faces murder, felony assault and strangulation charges in the brutal Oct. 29 attack on 23-year-old Leslie Torres – whom he’d randomly stalked as she walked through Midtown, authorities and sources said.
Warren pounced on Torres, strangled her unconscious and dumped her body on a sidewalk in front of the RIU Plaza New York Times Square Hotel on West 46th Street near Eighth Avenue, sources said.
The woman – whose address is listed as a local homeless shelter – was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, cops said.
Cops were called to the hospital around 1:16 a.m. after the badly wounded woman arrived, sources said.
Investigators later learned she was attacked outside the hotel when staff – who watched surveillance footage of the violent ordeal – alerted police, according to sources.
Torres was taken off life support and died on Nov. 4.
When asked by reporters outside Midtown North precinct if he assaulted the woman, Warren, in handcuffs, said “No” before he was placed in the back of a cruiser.
The accused killer has an extensive convicted criminal history in New Jersey, records show.He served more than four years in prison after he was convicted in 2019 of drug dealing and money laundering, jail records show.
He was released in June 2023, but back behind bars in November of that year and again charged with drug dealing. He was released on March 6.
