A fake script for Friday night’s bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul went viral on social media, sending boxing fans into a frenzy one year after Paul was involved in another controversy for a fake script — according to The Daily Star — ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury.
Paul encountered a similar saga in February 2023 ahead of his fight with Fury, when former UFC fighter Mike Perry posted what appeared to resemble a script on social media detailing how the bout would unfold before promoters told The Sun that the document was fake — and before Fury ended up defeating Paul by split decision, which wasn’t included in the alleged script.
It reportedly wasn’t the first time that Paul faced allegations of scripted fights, either, as that reportedly also happened prior to his fight against Anderson Silva, The Daily Star reported.
On Friday, the phony letter, posted by an X user with just over 200 followers, made the rounds in the hours before the slated 11 p.m. fight in Arlington, Texas.
“Ain’t no way bro,” @gregorxsamsa, who’s post of the alleged script got hundreds of reposts, wrote. “The script got leaked! #PaulVsTyson Jake Paul gonna knock out Mike Tyson!”
The script claimed Tyson gets off to a strong start through two rounds before Paul starts to bounce back, eventually opening a cut above “Iron Mike’s” left eye.

In the fifth round, Paul allegedly knocks out the 58-year-old Tyson, securing the victory.
A ridiculous and criminal notion, fighting fans were quick to call out the script as bogus, including one who described it as a “ChatGPT script.”
“Tyson isn’t going to ruin his reputation by coming out of retirement for a fixed fight,” an X user named Paul Jones wrote.
