Man, 31, stabbed on Brooklyn subway platform overnight: cops
A man was stabbed in the stomach during a fight on a Brooklyn subway platform Saturday morning, police said.
The victim, 31, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
The incident erupted on the northbound “D” train platform at Bay 50th Street and Stillwell Avenue in Gravesend shortly before 6 a.m., cops said.
“It was a dispute that escalated into a fight,” a department spokesman added.
Cops are hunting for two suspects, one wearing a gray sweatshirt, the NYPD said.
Around the same time, a pedestrian, 60, was fatally struck by a Mercedes-Benz traveling southbound on 2900 Flatbush Ave. around 5:40 a.m., authorities said.
The victim died at the scene.
The 23-year-old man behind the wheel was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
“The investigation is ongoing,” the NYPD said.
