Turn your favorite photos into wall art with Mixtiles

If you’re a renter, then you understand the struggle of finding unique ways to decorate your plain white walls without spending a fortune on removable wallpaper. For the homeowners out there, you’re definitely aware of how time-consuming it is to paint every room in your house.

A good alternative? Mixtiles.

Mixtiles is a company that gives you the opportunity to easily download your favorite photos and create stylish, 8 x 8 framed wall art that sticks directly to your wall and leaves no damage behind.

They offer worldwide free shipping and if you’re not completely satisfied, you’ll receive a full refund.

I first discovered Mixtiles about a year ago before moving into my current New York City apartment. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the little frames in the mail and the image quality was so great!

To be honest, choosing which photos you want to frame is the hardest part — everything else was a breeze.

First, upload the images you’d like, using Instagram, Facebook or a simple upload. Then choose a frame type: Classic (black frame with a white mat), Bold (black frame), Ever (white frame with a white mat), Clean (white frame) and Edge (thin black frame). After that you’ll be able to play around and see exactly what your photos will look like in person, allowing you to easily swap frames and pictures if desired. Lastly, choose your shipping preference and order.

Mixtiles has taken TikTok by storm over the last couple of years, too!

Once you receive them, the tiles will come organized, protected and secure so they stay intact. The frames are lightweight with a plastic frame and the picture is printed directly onto the foam mat — all of which looks way more expensive than $11 a pop. On the back of the frame, there is an adhesive sticker with a protective cover, which allows you to easily place your photos wherever you please.

I will admit that I was nervous to place my frames, in fear of crooked wall art but with patience, a level, a pencil to mark where I wanted them and my roommate’s help, I got the job done without too much trouble.

While Mixtiles normally cost $11 a piece, the brand often runs sales. Most recently Mixtiles is offering a Valentine’s Day deal: 12 frames for $89 — a savings of $43. Sounds like an awesome gift for a loved one too me!
