Out with the old, in with the new.
Each and every year, Broadway dumps long-running productions and shows that weren’t up to snuff and subsequently throws new musicals and straight plays at the proverbial wall to see what sticks.
In 2023, a lot of stuff is being thrown at the wall to be excited about.
Lin Manuel-Miranda’s “New York, New York,” a “Sweeney Todd” revival and Nathan Lane in “Pictures From Home” should be more than enough to stir excitement in even the most fair-weather theater fan.
Plus, stars like Oscar winner Jessica Chastain, “Stranger Things'” Gaten Matarazzo and “Will and Grace’s” Sean Hayes have shows opening too.
Don’t forget adaptations of Britney Spears’ life, “Life of Pi,” “Camelot,” Bob Fosse’s “Dancin'” and “Back to the Future.”
We really weren’t lying when we told you this year is stacked.
Our team did a little digging to make your life easy and found tickets for 13 huge shows opening in the next few months that should be on your radar.
And we have some good news to share — some shows have seats going for as low as $67 before fees on Vivid Seats.
All you have to do is scroll, and hopefully, we’ll see you in the mezzanine or balcony of your choice in the coming year.
All shows are listed in chronological order of when previews begin.
