Meet ‘The Bachelorette’s Dale Moss, Clare Crawley’s ex-fiancé

Guess he wasn’t “the one.”

Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” finally aired in October on ABC and out of many potential suitors, Clare Crawley chose Dale Moss.

However, just five months after the former NFL star proposed to her in a whirlwind romancePage Six reported they’re already “done” and broke up.

Crawley and Moss reportedly began talking during the monthslong period after the Season 16 cast was announced before filming began. (Clare contradicted this during the premiere episode, saying only one contestant had reached out to her.) After meeting in person, they quickly fell for each other and left the show to be together and the 39-year-old was replaced by Tayshia Adams.

Their interactions during the first episode seem to confirm this theory.

“Hi, come on over,” said a smitten Crawley to Moss as he stepped out of the limo in a teaser video.

“Clare, my name is Dale, and I couldn’t be more excited to take this journey with you,” he says to her.

“I feel like I just met my husband,” she said when he walked away. “Oh my God.”

Crawley told host Chris Harrison, “Every other guy I felt confident with, but with Dale… I felt everything that I haven’t felt ever.”

Moss felt the connection too. On his Instagram, he captioned a photo of them talking, “I felt that.”

She awarded Moss the first impression rose and the second kiss of the night.

It’s been rumored that Moss cheated on Crawley. Days after Moss announced the split on Instagram, the Bachelorette took to the social media platform to claim she was blindsided and “crushed” by his statement.

Moss is a 32-year-old who spent four years in the NFL as a wide receiver. The offensive player has been on the Green Bay Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears, according to his website.

In addition to sports, Moss has worked as a model for brands such as Under Armour and Hugo Boss. He volunteers for the Tiger Woods Foundation, Wounded Warriors and works as a global ambassador for the Special Olympics.

The South Dakota resident also played basketball while attending a Division 1 college. After his bout in the NFL, he moved to New York to work in consulting for sports and wellness brands.

“Dale is looking for a woman who wants him but doesn’t need him and says that nothing turns him on more than an independent woman with strong convictions,” his official ABC bio read. “When Dale is feeling passionate, he doesn’t like to hold back and is looking for a woman who won’t be turned off by his intensity.”

However, there may have been a small red flag all along: His bio says he has yet to master patience.

“It’s safe to say Dale leaves his mark really early on this season,” says Chris Harrison, during an online showcase of the season’s cast. “It’s safe to say I’ve never seen someone leave a bigger impression.”

Like most “Bachelorette” contestants, Moss’s Instagram is filled with shirtless photos of himself. A New Yorker at heart, he recently showed support for the Yankees. He often shares shots of himself in the gym, walking the streets of NYC and doing sponsored content.
