Bio and experience
Andrew Pentis is Credible's Editor-in-Chief. Andrew leads a talented team of editors, writers and staff with the goal of educating users about life's personal financial decisions.
Andrew has worn many different hats in his career. He worked as a news and sports journalist, wrote personal finance columns (and an e-book!) and served as a go-to media expert and certified student loan counselor. Most recently, he's enjoyed leading editorial teams.
Before arriving at Credible, Andrew wrote about paying for college and repaying education debt for LendingTree sites (primarily Student Loan Hero) and served as a lead editor for Decisionary Media's nascent Sound Dollar brand. Earlier career highlights included writing for regional newspapers and national magazines.
Andrew loves turning complicated personal financial topics into digestible and actionable guidance for consumers — but sometimes, if he's being honest, he'd rather be playing sand volleyball.
Education
Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism (thanks, in part to $11,000 of scholarships).
